Reply:Songs have different meanings for different people. For me it is Nightblindness by David Gray, which included the line 'Building mountains on matchsticks'. The circumstance was that I was out of work with very little money coming in, but still wanted to provide my family with the kind of lifstyle that I felt they deserved. This seemed rather like trying to build a mountain supported on matchsticks.
Reply:Like Suicide

Burden In My Hand

The Day I Tried To Live

Fell On Black Days

4th of July

Jesus Christ Pose

All these songs are by Soundgarden. I suggest you read about Like Suicide, it has a very interesting background (link provided in the sources). Burden In My Hand expresses guilt, remorse, and sorrow. All the other songs can be interpreted in many ways. All great songs with deep meaning.
