Question about the Fall out Boy song "Dance, Dance"?

What do you think the phrase in the song " Show me the little bit of spine you've been saving for his mattress" means? And do you think this song is really bad (in lyric meanings)

Question about the Fall out Boy song "Dance, Dance"?
I always thought it was "spark" not "spine." But, if it is spine, it could mean that he wants her to stop being a flirt and go ahead and just do the "deed." Like, don't be a wimp... show that you have some spine and instead of being with him, be with me. OR, it could mean that he wants to see her back ... kinda like when you are hunched over, people can see your spine. So, instead of him seeing her bent over, he wants to see her bent over... or it could mean a trillion other things.
Reply:In the 2nd Bridge, the song continues:

Why don't you show me a little bit of spine

You've been saving for his mattress (mattress, mattress)

I only want sympathy in the form of you crawling into bed with me

So yeah, he wants pity sex. If I remember the meaning behind the song, it's just after a break-up and she's met someone new. But he still wants her - lyrics like "And I don't want to forget how your voice sounds..." And no, I don't think this one is bad at all really. It alludes to sex. It doesn't flat out say, "I know you're with him, I want to screw you, lay back and let's do it." And that's what you get from most rap these days anyway, LOL.
Reply:he wants to sleep with her..and hes pressuring her
