Or do you disregard the meaning and pay attention to the sounds?


Hmm... This was question was inspired by many of A Perfect Circle's and Tool's songs...

Do you try to understand the meanings of songs you like?
I like to find the deeper meaning to many songs...it makes the song way better when you actually understand the emotions and feelings behind the tune and get to the actual words, gives you a better understanding of what king of person the artist is and what they are going through..:)
Reply:Yeah I listen to the sound. I really don't listen to the lyrics, I just like the beat that is playing in the background.
Reply:no, I pay attention to the whole... music and sounds. I try to understand them all... it's like in the ancient Greek tragedy (which was the most perfect show of all times) everything is connected! I can't stand a great song with stupid lyrics!
Reply:I like songs because they mean something to me.......I listen to the beat of the music but I also listen to the words
Reply:I have trouble getting into a song if it doesn't make sense. Although Tears of Jupiter grew on me.

Reply:sometimes, but most of the time when its a song i really like i dont think about the meaning because sometimes it ruins it.
Reply:sometimes from the tune of the singer or from the mood he /she in , u can feel the song and dont give attention to the meaning or the words


but sometimes words affect us to love the song and understand it
