Really important please help!!! (For peole who are good with song meanings)?
Eh. I'll try my best though =)

1. It sounds like the guy is talking about a person who's down in the dumps, and instead of being sad, they should be alive and like paint the town red. Be wild, I guess.

I can't find any poetry methods in this song.

2. Ah, a FOB song. You had to choose the complicated, huh? Alright, well it was reportedly mentioned, by Pete Wentz, that he was frustrated with the "emo scene". I think to support that statement, the lyrics of "Crashing not like hips or cars/more like parties" show that they're not going to be the depressing type. But if it wasn't about the emo scene, then it's probably about being a guy who's being in the business with words...oh wait like a songwriter!

The metaphors here are that they're comparing words with weapons and lies with threads ("The lies I weave are so intricate").

3. It's basically means that Rihanna wants this guy to trust her....kinda like the meaning of "If It's Lovin That You Want"

This songs has a lot of metaphors. "Raining" means that there are more bad times coming their way. "Umbrella" is the shelter and protection Rihanna provides. "Sun" and "shining" probably means the good times or if one of them (probably more of Rihanna) gets the good things, both of them will.

4. It seems like the guy's talking about a person who completes him (heh I know, corny) but he hasn't seen the person for a while. But when they get together, they should "spend the night on top of the world." The thing about it is that at the end, he says that the person's only in the dreams, which could mean that the person might be long gone and he's fantasizing.

There's a rhyme scheme. You're familiar with the AABB sort of deal? A is the first line, that kind of crap.

It goes as followed:

AABB (first stanza)

AABB (second stanza)

AAA(third stanza)

The chorus, I think, repeats the words, but at the last two lines, it has "seems" and "dreams" as rhymes.

The next one has "waters" and "daughters" for rhymes as well. You get the idea.

5. Ugh, PATD. Their lyrics are like the complex of the complex. I think it's best if you try it yourself, because I will probably give you the stupidest answer for this song. But I'm giving this a shot anyways =p

It seems that Brendon plays the announcer of a show, kinda like a priest or whatever when he says to forget the "faux affliction" (fake pain) and mentions that they are in for a show tonight. If I were to guess, I think this has the same meaning about "This Ain't A Scene, It's An Arms Race." About the emo thing.

You're aware of what emo is. I think this song points out how people fake being all sad and depressed, like the "faux affliction" or the part when he sings "And I for one can see no blood from the hearts and the wrists you allegedly slit"...oh and especially the part "if the scene were a parish you'd all be condemned."

Thank you! Now I feel like a smartie! Report Abuse

Reply:i know that 3. is about friendships and stuff.
Reply:Geez you dont want much do ya
Reply:The only one I know is umbrella. Umbrella is about best friends. And that sometimes people need help from friends to get through things. When she says " bet its raining more then ever" she means that her friend is probably going through a lot more trouble then usual, and that she will help him.

Number 2 has no meaning. Fall out boy doesnt make songs with meaning.
Reply:number 1 (Send My Love To The Dancefloor, I'll See You In Hell) means that everything is over so they are just gonna dance.

number 2 (This Aint A Scene It's An Arms Race) i can honestly say im a fall out boy fan and the thing i love about them is that their songs have no meaning at all!

number 3 (Umbrella) the meaning is that she will always be there for him through anything

number 4 (On Top Of The World) means he is in love and he is always thinking about her and wants to be with her always

number 5 (I Constantly Thank God For Esteban) panic!, was discovered by fob's bassist pete wentz, they are the same way as fob and none of there songs make sense/mean anything

i hope that helps! good luck
Reply:Umberlla-Rihanna

I think this song is talking about how much these 2 people really want to be toghter, but they're far away from each other, but how they'll always be thinking of each other and stuff like that. It also doesn't matter about material things as long as they have each other. Then in the chrous when it says "you can stand under my umbrella" is how much they really want to be together.
Reply:#2: Fall Out Boy bass player Pete Wentz wrote this when he was frustrated with the "Emo scene," which the band was strongly associated with. In the lyrics, Wentz lashes out at people who blindly follow the trend. The sing-along at the end of the song was inspired by Justin Timberlake's "Senorita." This was the first single from Infinity On High. The band thought there were bigger radio hits on the album, but chose this because of its message. The video contains a scene that makes reference to an incident in which nude photos of Pete Wentz leaked on the internet.
