Songs with meanings?

I need 3 songs that have analagies, similies, metaphors, ect and have a meaning.

A good example would be the River by Garth Brooks

This is for school, so nothing bad. I asked this question already but all I got were songs about suicidal people and things like that.

Songs with meanings?
Don't laugh at me by Mark Wills has a great message and I am sure you can find some analogies in it. Long Black Train by Josh Turner (already mentioned above). The Gambler by Kenny Rogers or Coward of the County by Kenny Rogers both talk about choosing your battles and knowing when to walk away (Coward of the County is probably the better bet for school). Another one is I hope you Dance by Lee Ann Womack which is very much like The River by Garth Brooks.
Reply:Also try another Garth Brooks song- "Standing Outside the Fire"
Reply:Long Black Train - Josh Turner

The black train represents satan...sinners could choose to board it (give in to sin) or resist it and go to the Lord.

I really feel this would help, watch the video
Reply:Love Can Build a Bridge by the Judges is a great one.
Reply:A good example I can think of is 'Afterglow' by INXS. It is about the old lead singers death and his memory. Here are the lyrics for you, hope it helps :D

Here I am, lost in the light of the moon that comes through my window

Bathed in blue, the walls of my memory divides the thorns from the roses

It's you and the roses

Touch me and I will follow in your afterglow

Heal me from all this sorrow

As I let you go I will find my way when I see your eyes

Now I'm living in your afterglow

Here I am, lost in the ashes of time, but who owns tomorrow?

In between the longing to hold you again

I'm caught in your shadow, I'm losing control

My mind drifts away, we only have today

Touch me and I will follow in your afterglow

Heal me from all this sorrow

As I let you go I will find my way

I will sacrifice 'til the blinding day when I see your eyes

Now I'm living in your afterglow

When the veils are gone, as I let you go, as I let you go

Touch me and I will follow in your afterglow

Heal me from all this sorrow

As I let you go I will find my way, I will sacrifice

Now I'm living in your afterglow

Bathed in blue, the walls of my memory divides the thorns from the roses

It's you who is closest

Daniel :D
Reply:I have a couple, but one has someone dying, so you may not use it.

1) The thunder rolled by Garth Brooks (a women discovers her lover is cheating on her, so she shoots him. You may not use it)

2) In my arms by Plumb (in this song, she sings about her kids growing up.)

That's all i can think of. Hope I helped.
Reply:Pam Tillis Has a song called The River and The Highway

The song sounds like it's describing lovers ( in the form of a river and a highway) that have to take there own paths but they occasionally cross paths every now and then and when they do it's a beautiful thing . (at least that's my interpretation)

Here are the Lyrics

She follows the path of least resistance

She doesn't care to see the mountain top

She twists and turns with no regard to distance

She never comes to a stop

And she rolls, she's a river

Where she goes, time will tell

Heaven knows, he can't go with her

And she rolls, all by herself

All by herself

He's headed for a single destination

He doesn't care what's standing in his path

He's a line between two points of separation

He ends just where it says to on the map

And he rolls, he's a highway

Where he goes, time will tell

Heaven knows, she can't go with him

And he rolls, all by himself

All by himself

And every now and then, he offers her a shoulder

And every now and then, she overflows

And every now and then, a bridge crosses over

It's a moment every lover knows

And she rolls (and he rolls)

She's a river (he's a highway)

Where she goes (where he goes)

Time will tell (Time will tell)

Heaven knows she can't go with him (he can't go with her)

And she rolls all by herself

And he rolls all by himself

Fare thee well
