How do you take the song Eleanor Rigby by the Beatles?

I've heard so many "meanings" to this song, this is mine: it's gotten to the point where people just go to church just because they think they'll be saved, and they're lonely, but no one will show up at the funerals of their "brothers and sisters," and it's become a meaningless thing to some people, like they only pray when they want something. Any other translations?

I take it that Eleanor and Father McKenzie are the lonely ones... and the sadness is that they just miss each other and never get to meet.
Reply:I'm agree with VS.

But, you can give the song the meaning you want... ;)

Everybody has own experiencies and take the words of a song to their own life... ;)
Reply:Not everyone will find someone. Some people die alone, and there's nothing anyone can do.
